Follow your guide on an easy to moderate 4-hour bike ride, descending 20 miles (32 km) through the heart of the San Andreas Fault zone. From the transition zone between the Colorado Desert and Mojave Desert, wind your way through the narrow canyon walls of Box Canyon. Admire the desert landscape as you cycle along a paved road -- there are no cross roads, no turns and very little traffic, making this a relatively relaxing sightseeing experience.

You’ll be afforded views of the Salton Sea, Mt San Jacinto, the All-American Canal and the agricultural lands of the eastern Coachella Valley. Finish your tour with a visit to the Oasis Date Gardens for a refreshing date drink and a restroom break.

You’ll descend 1,200 feet (366 meters) over the course of the route. Throughout your ride, refuel with your provided bottled water and snacks including homemade cookies and granola bars. A support vehicle equipped with first-aid supplies and a cell phone will follow your group, and you'll be taken back to Palm Desert after your tour.
