Start with an early morning aarti ceremony preformed in the Raja Ram Temple and proceed to visit the grand Orchha Fort and its palaces. Take a tuk-tuk ride like a local and visit the unique cenotaphs built in the memory of Bundela Kings.Meet your local guide at the Orchha Fort ticket counter at 7:30am and proceed on a day of exploring the architectural wonders of Orchha. Located along the banks of the Betwa River, Orchha was founded and ruled by Bundela Dynasty of the Bundelkhand area, now renamed Madhya Pradesh. Tranquil and serene, Orchha has historically been referred to as one of India’s most beautifully preserved princely states, keeping the old Bundelkhand alive.

In the company of your guide, proceed to the famous Raja Ram Temple and attend the morning aarti ceremony. Understand the faith that brings thousands of devotees to the only temple in India that worships the prime deity God Rama, an incarnation of Vishnu, as a king of the city. The temple has a fascinating legend attached to it that made this once palace the abode of God. Learn from your local guide the story behind the temple and how every day at sunset, armed salutation is given in the honor of God Rama in royal style.

After attending the aarti ceremony, proceed with your guide to the 17th-century Orchha Fort and visit the King and Queen's Palaces. Visit the Jahangir Fort, built by King Vir Singh in honor of his childhood friend and Mughal prince, Jahangir. Learn from your guide how Emperor Jahangir presented the state of Bundelkhand to King Vir Singh who helped him defeat the army of Abul Fazi and take a dip in the interesting history of the land.

From the fort board a tuk-tuk at 9:30am and proceed to the unique cenotaphs, built in the memory of Bundela Kings. Commonly known as Chhatris, these cenotaphs are laid down in a row along the banks of Betwa River and are an excellent example of Rajput and Mughal architecture. Your guide will explain to you the relevance of these melancholic ruins from the past as the tour comes to an end at 11:30am.
