When your ship docks in Falmouth, make like Tarzan and zipline through the mountainous rural farmlands of Jamaica. On this adventure, fly across five ziplines up to 1,600 feet long — the longest zipline in the Caribbean — and take in panoramas of rolling hills and the Great River. Cross a jungle bridge, bump along in an off-road ride aboard a 6WD vehicle, and sample freshly picked sugar cane or sip coconut or pineapple juice, all grown from the botanical gardens on-site. Round-trip port transport is included. After port pickup in Falmouth, travel to the zipline course in Lethe Estates, a private gated community located in a charming mountain town beside the Great River.

During the safety briefing, expert professionals explain the course’s layout and show you how to use the equipment on an actual zipline 5 feet (1.5 meters) off the ground. Because the equipment is engineered to be gravity-fed instead of depending on a glove-braking system, all of your zipline rides will end with a gentle landing. The course uses double steel cables traversing through double steel pulley systems, the maintenance of which adhere to the stringent criteria established by the Association for Challenge Course Technology.

After the orientation, hop aboard a safari-style troop transport vehicle, travel past banana trees and enjoy a jaw-jarring ride up to the apex of the zipline course. With your helmet on, head to the platform for your first zipline, 250 feet (76 meters) long, affixed fairly close to the ground. Clip on and when you’re ready, jump!

Develop confidence as you make your way through four more aerial runways, increasing in length and height. You'll glide up to 40 miles (64 km) per hour and cross a 250-foot-long jungle bridge during your journey. Guides are available at the platforms to help you as needed.

Gravity whooshes you across the tree canopy cover and as you speed past coconut trees, admire sweeping views of green slopes, farmland and the Great River rippling below. Congratulate yourself on a job well done after conquering Big Timba, the last zipline stretching 1,600 feet (488 meters) in length.

Follow your guides to Lethe Estates’ botanical gardens, where you’ll taste sugar cane or sip a glass of fresh coconut or pineapple juice, all harvested on-site. During your remaining time, stroll through the gardens that also grow coffee and ginger or lounge in The Green, the waiting area with a snack bar, until it’s time to be transported back to port.
