Discover Australian native animals including cuddly koalas, toothy crocodiles and busy penguins with your entrance ticket to the Featherdale Wildlife Park, located just a 45-minute drive from Sydney. The park features a natural setting that is home to more than 2,000 critters. Enjoy informative and entertaining wildlife presentations throughout the day, plus a cafe and picnic areas with barbecues. It’s a great stop en route to the Blue Mountains or a perfect day out with the family! Make your own way by car or public bus to Featherdale Wildlife Park, situated 45 minutes by road to the west of Sydney on the way to the Blue Mountains. More than 2,000 native animals live on seven acres among native plants and trees.

Have the chance to hand-feed friendly wallabies and kangaroos and take your photo with one of the many koalas that live here. Check out the Tasmanian devils, endangered due to the impact of a devastating disease in the past two decades. Or compare the park’s two wombat species: the Southern hairy-nosed wombat and the common wombat.

Explore 26 realistic exhibits in the Reptilian Pavilion where 40 different native species of reptiles reside. See lizards, turtles, crocodiles, pythons and venomous snakes among the scaly creatures in this display. Then check out the bird section where you can find festively feathered parrots, sleek waterbirds and endearing little penguins, large birds like emus and southern cassowaries, and more.

Feeding times and keeper presentations occur throughout the day and are detailed in the Itinerary below. Learn fascinating facts about the echidna, a mammal that is related to the platypus. Participate in a farmyard feeding and animal encounter with goats, sheep and cows. Other talks feature the dingos, koalas, pelicans and flying foxes.

Feel free to bring food to barbecue at the tree-shaded picnic sites in the wildlife park, or stop by the cafe for a pick-me-up. A souvenir shop sells mementos from the park.
