Enjoy Bangkok's off-the-beaten experience and explore the century-old Bang Rak neighborhood for its culinary and cultural secrets. Awarded Best Tour Program in 2013 by Tourism Authority of Thailand, this food walk allows you to become a Thai food expert in 3.5 hours. Stroll down the streets and enjoy tasting various regional and ethical Thai cuisines at 5 local eateries that have been in business for generations. This is a small group tour fulfilled with fun experience for all ages. Meet with our culinary-trained, fully licensed tour guide at BTS Saphan Taksin station in the morning. Walk your way through the old streets of Bang Rak "the Village of Love" and experience Bangkok's mom and pop food culture and local unseen attractions. Bangrak is the district famous among Thais for its diverse local flavors. The area is a true melting pot, where you can find Thai delicacies from various regions and ethnicity. This walking tour will stop at 5 local restaurants, where you will sample more than 12 items of food and drinks and have a chance to meet and engage with restaurant owners. On this tour, not only you will get full exposure to the Thai gastronomic tradition but your visit will also be a great support to the local community.

From BTS station, our first stop will be a half century old Thai-Chinese eatery serving some of the best Thai-style roast duck. Then, walk along the back streets to visit its hidden gem, Wat Suan Plu temple, and learn about its significance to the community. Continue your food journey and visit one of the oldest eateries in the area, a Thai-Muslim restaurant offering very unique Thai-Halal dishes. Then, it is time to cross the majestic Chao Phraya river to get to the other side of Bangkok as you will visit a hole-in-the-wall eatery serving Northeastern Thai cuisines. You will not be considered completing your visit without tasting something from the "ISAN menu" including the spicy green papaya salad and Thai-style fried chicken with herbs.

As the tour guide brings you back to Bang Rak area, you will visit another local institution famous for snacks and sweets. There, you will taste the original pandan flavor custard bun served with the delicious Thai ice tea. Our last tasting location features Royal Thai cuisine serving from a restaurant run by a Thai Royal decedent. You will taste the Royal-recipe green curry served with Thai style roti. Finish your tasting with the refreshing Thai-style ice cream before the tour guide walks you to our ending point at Surasak BTS Station. After the tour, you will be confident to continue your journey in Thailand and eat like a local.
