Begin your adventure at 10am at Flag Ponds Nature Park where a shark expert greets you and goes over the exciting itinerary with your group. Comb for fossils, including shark teeth, along the shores of Chesapeake Bay. Let your expert guide analyze any of the treasures you may come across and tell you what you've discovered among the millions of fossils and shark teeth.
After comparing your discoveries and treasures at the Calvert Marine Museum, get an up-close look at live sea life, including stingrays, river otters, turtles, crabs and even an octopus. If all that sea life gawking has built up an appetite, indulge in a delicious boxed lunch that includes a choice of roast prime rib sandwich, grilled chicken breast wrap and a veggie hummus wrap, among other options.
Do a bit more exploring and then tuck into an early dinner at the comfortable Ruddy Duck Brewery and Grill or drive 25 minutes to the Ruddy Duck Seafood and Alehouse on the Potomac River.
