Kurzeme located at west coast of Latvia. There are more than 80 priority protected nature territories with many beautiful views and landscapes, so high ethnic, ecological and cultural-historical value.You will see Jaunmoku castle, which is made in Neo Gothic style combined with modern style elements. Castle was built at beginning of 20 century by Riga’s burgomaster request and it was summer hunting residence. In the castle you can see many nature and cultural-historical exhibitions, see Forest museum and have a great walk at the park.
On the way we will go next to scenic Abava river – protected nature territory, which at 1996 year was included to world UNESCO list, among 100 unique nature sightseeing of our planet.
You will see old and original little cities of Kurzeme.
Sabile - little romantic city, which located at terraced slopes of the beautiful site of the ancient riverbed Abava River. One of the sights is Wine hill. During the time of the order on the slope of the right bank of the Abava was vineyards, and wine from Sabile even sent abroad. Hill is mentioned at Guinness records book, as the most northerly vineyard in the world.
Kuldiga – pearl of Kurzeme, special atmosphere make provincial cities architecture of XVII-XVIII century, Venta river with the most wide waterfall in Europe and old brick bridge across it. This city is included at world UNESCO list.
On the way back we will visit rest center “Swedish Hat”.
