The route in Bolognesi Hills:

San Michele in Bosco: An imposing architectural complex which includes the church and the adjacent former convent of the Olivetans, one of the greatest and nicest in Italy. It stands on one of the most panoramic places of the surrounding hills of Bologna and it offers a wonderful view of the city and of the plane until the Alps chain.

Arco del Meloncello: the Portico of San Luca, possibly the longest with at 3,796m, and contains 666 arches. Built between 1674 and 1721, it connects Bonaccorsi Arch in Porta Saragozza to the top of Colle della Guardia, where a Sanctuary to the Virgin with Child was erected with the contribution of the all citizens. The portico provides shelter to the pilgrims climbing up to the church to worship the Byzantine Icone attributed to St Luke The Evangelist.

Basilica di San Luca: Located about 3km southeast of the center of Bologna, erected in the XVIII century. Prominently located on the "Colle della Guardia," it overlooks the town and is considered one of the main landmarks. The 18th century Sanctuary is connected to the city walls by the world longest portico held aloft by 666 arches beginning at Piazza Saragozza, Cippo di Sabiuno. This war memorial was erected in the 70s as an experiment of land art, one of the most important memorials of the resistance in Bologna.

Ponte Sospeso di Vizzano: Built in 1920, when a teacher drew-up a petition to facilitate her students who lived across the river. Destroyed by the retreating Nazis in 1945, it was rebuilt soon after the war and restored again in 1994.

Palazzo de Rossi: Bartolomeo de' Rossi selected the place with special care, to build his sumptuous palace where ladies, pageboys and knights could pass the time, enjoying every moment of their delicious and peaceful country life far from the war suffering.

Pontevecchio Marconi: Villa Griffone is located in Pontevecchio Marconi at about 15km from Bologna, along SS N.64 Porrettana. The Marconi Museum narrates the birth and development of radio communication from the origins to the present days. There is a great number of XIX c. scientific devices on permanent display, telling the history of the electricity and the radio.
