Join this full-day biking tour for an exciting chance to get away from the big city for a while. Visit a coconut plantation to see how coconut sugar is harvested and processed, ride a wooden paddle boat through the famous floating market, Damnoen Saduak, pedal to a first-rate Thai restaurant for a fabulous lunch on the Mae Klong River, wander the grounds of a tree-covered temple, and more!Your day will begin with a pickup from your Bangkok hotel at approximately 7am. You will have a few non-cycling sites to see before hitting the bikes. Once on the bike you will visit the famous coconut sugar village, a local floating market and Tha Kha, with a canal boat ride. See vendors selling fruits, local Thai food, local Thai sweets, and creative souvenirs.
After this, enjoy the beautiful countryside as you cycle to Amphawa. Cycle through coconut farms and fruit plantations. Visit an auspicious temple that is covered by all four types of Banyan tree and an ancient army camp before stopping at the Amphawa Floating Market. This market is famous among local Thai visitors. Amphawa is a very crafty market with both boats selling food and shops selling all manner of craft products. (Please note: this market is a weekend market only.)
The total cycling distance is not more than 42km and is mostly on flat roads. Breaks are taken regularly at scheduled stops or at any place where you can come across something interesting. Support vehicles will follow you the entire way, so at any time during the tour you are welcome to swap the bike for the air-conditioned vehicle if you wish.
You will return to your hotel at approximately 7pm.
