Spend a full day exploring the wonderful Great Ocean Road. Get to see all the highlights that the road as to offer. Tours departs on Wednesday mornings, leaving early from Melbourne to stay ahead of all the crowds.Depart at 6.30am from Melbourne and stay ahead of the other buses allowing you to enjoy the stops without the crowds. The first stop is Bells Beach where we look for kangaroos and watch the surfers. Then it is off to the Memorial Arch, perfect photo opportunity and a chance to take a walk along Fairhaven beach.
Stop for lunch in Lorne, where you can buy yourself a coffee and bite to eat. After Lorne stop to enjoy the magnificent ocean views. Then it is onto Kennett River and be on the lookout for koalas and feed the wild parrots.
Next, travel through Apollo Bay before heading into the Otway forest stopping at Maits Rest for a temperate rainforest walk and see beautiful fern gardens and giant rainforest trees up to 300 years old. Around midday you'll reach the Shipwreck Coast, visiting the 12 Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge, Razorback, and Island Archway. There is also a chance to purchase a discounted Helicopter flight (payable direct on they day of travel).
Stop in Port Campbell for a late lunch (at own expenst). After lunch we stop at the Arch and London Bridge before starting the journey back to Melbourne via Colac travelling through dairy farm country. Arrive in Melbourne at approx 7pm where your tour concludes.
