Enjoy this 6-hour locally-guided tour which includes a trip through history at the Athens Classic Marathon starting point, which is also the location of the Tomb of the Athenians burial mound. Get an insider’s view of the trail along the Marathon legacy and the area's captivating natural landscape. Take a stroll through some of the local producers’ stalls and stands, and have some invigorating local family time with coffee, fresh juice and conversation.After meeting-up with your local guide in late morning, you're off to get a first-hand view of the starting point of the Classic Marathon route, and visit the Marathon Museum where you will view medals and other artifacts. Take a stroll to the Marathon tomb, the athletic rowing facilities and the environmental park.

After, trek on over to the market and grab some locally produced items. Visit the stalls and stands of local producer's aggro-products, who sell their produce directly to the customer. Get a first hand view of the excellent quality vegetables and fruits that the blessed Marathon soil produces, and have a chance to meet those hard working producers and chat with them directly.

Afterward, take the opportunity to spend time with your guide's family. Enjoy a cup of coffee, a refreshing sour cherry juice, a quick snack of mezes and have some nice conversation.
