The day begins at Homer Airport, where you'll sign a waiver, receive a safety briefing. Then take to the skies on a fantastic 45-min. to 90-min. flight, depending on what National park you visit. This trip includes multiple landing areas. Depending on conditions and were the bears are. There is 10 different beaches that Martin has landed on in Katmai and Lake Clark National Park. Hallow Bay, Ninagiak River, Village Bay, Big River, Douglas River, three beaches in Chinitna Bay and Silver Salmon Creek.

Land on the Beach of Katmai National Park or Lake Clark National Park and walk about a mile or two from the beach through grassy meadow or tundra to a vantage point to observe bears in their natural habitat. Watch them play, clam, mate, eat sedges and later fish in their natural habitat -- a truly majestic experience!

After three hours or more with the bears, board the plane and we can take off to another location. This is a very relaxing trip not having to rush around in only three hours to see the bears. Many times there is just too many bears to photograph in the half day trip. This trip takes either 8 to 12 hours. But this is your trip we can come back anytime you are ready. We do not plan to stay overnight however.
