Join this day trip to Sekinchan, a small fishing village and the highest rice production town in Malaysia. It has gotten extremely popular over the years with city slickers from Kuala Lumpur heading over to enjoy the simpler things in life. You will explore the paddy fields and enjoy a delicious fresh seafood here.You will be picked up from your hotel lobby in Kuala Lumpur and head to the Sekinchan, a leisurely one and a half hours’ drive 59 miles (95km). Enjoy the view of oil palm plantations along the coastal road before reaching the wide paddy fields, and fruit orchards.
It is an experience to walk down the paddy fields, feel the hot sun behind your back with the tractor harvesting the paddy. Please remember to prepare more drinking water, hats, sunglasses, sunscreen and wear long sleeves shirts. You can take the opportunity to visit the Paddy Field Processing Factory which has a small museum to show how rice is planted and harvest in the past and now has improved in the modern days.
We will move on to the local restaurant to enjoy some delicious seafood lunch. After lunch, you will head to Redang Beach to see an iconic Wishing Tree hanging with lucky red clothes, visit Nan Tian Temple, climbing up to the tree house and eating some fleshy sweet mango. You will be transferred back to your hotel safely after the trip.
