This full-day guided experience is a unique opportunity to watch the humpback whales on the open waters off the coast of Praia do Forte.After meeting in Vila de Abrantes, the tour will drive to Praia do Forte, where you will check in with the whale watching crew. Take some time for a short coffee break before meeting with the other parties. Watch a short briefing about the wales and safety onboard. From here, walk approximately 1-mile to the sandy beach of Praia do Forte from where you will embark on an "escuna", the typical wooden ships of Bahia. It can get quite wet, as there is no pier, so bring a swimsuit.
The ship will take you approximately 2-miles offshore where the crew will find the whales for you, with a success rate of 98%. After a 3 to 4 hour cruise, the tour will get head to the beach to disembark the ship. Once back in Abrantes, you can enjoy and relax on the ranch until you head back to town.
