Welcome to Kampar River (Sungai Itek), Gopeng, Perak. This is Malaysia’s re-known gateway for rainforest adventure activities!
There are 2 standard times to choose from with this tour, a morning tour at 9am, or an afternoon tour at 2pm. You will be picked up from Gua Tempurung Parking or the Gopeng Museum. From here, you will be taken to the starting point of your adventure, where you will be welcomed by the crystal clear river water that flows from the Titiwangsa Mountains. You’ll be met by your trainer who will give a briefing on safety so you feel confident in the cool water. You will also be taught how to correctly use the rafting equipment. After the briefing, you’ll be provided with a safety jacket and a safety helmet.
Teamwork is the key word of the day as you will need to work together and follow instructions in order to move forward or backwards. This tour will provide you with a fun, interesting, and adrenaline-pumping experience you are not likely to forget! Be prepared to get wet.
For those who enjoy nature will love the scenic atmosphere surrounding you. Kampar River flows from the highlands in a valley shape to the lower reaches into Perak river mouth in Strait of Malacca. On either side of you, you will see jungles and farmland.
After the thrilling experience is finished, you will be met by the team. You will be given time to change into dry clothing before enjoying lunch. (9am session only. Lunch will be provided prior to Rafting on the 2pm session).
