Greenwich Village is a village within a city. When you are here you forget about the hustle and bustle of Midtown. It has a unique character and personality of it's own.It is among Manhattan's most desirable and expensive residential neighborhoods. It is famous for it's bohemian atmosphere and acceptance of all. It is the birthplace of The Beat Movement, Hippies, Gay and Lesbian Rights Movement. It attracted famous writers, poets, musicians and artists. It is home to NYU one of largest private Universities. The Village, with it's quiet, shaded streets, lined with lovely brick and brownstone townhouses will impress you and surprise you.
