Join this half-day tour to Lok Kawi Wildlife Park from Kota Kinabalu to check out the Orangutans. A beautiful park to spend with your family and kids, to learn and greet Borneo’s wildlife.
The zookeeper will provide some information and explanation about the gibbons and happy to answer questions. You will love the pygmy elephants and seeing the proboscis monkeys up close.This half-day trip starts with pickup at your hotel lobby located in Kota Kinabalu around 8:30am. You will head to the Lok Kawi Wildlife Park located around 15miles (25km), this will take approximately 30-minute drive depend on the traffic conditions.
The park is divided into 2 parts, the zoological and the botanical components. At the zoological component are the Borneo Pygmy elephants, Proboscis monkeys, Malayan tigers, as well as some different species of deer.
At the other side – the botanical component, you will get the opportunity to go jungle trekking along the botanical trial.
The aviary is always a favorite for kids where you can feed the birds there, and the animal shows are available at 11:15am and 3:30pm. Please note that the show might be cancelled for raining day and Friday.
Please remember to bring enough water and pack your own lunch box for visitors with kids. There is a special section for children which includes a petting zoo and an elephant ride. You will be transported back to your hotel safely after the trip.
