This half-day excursion takes you down an exhilarating class IV section of the Arkansas River. In order to enjoy this Royal Gorge adventure, you must have prior paddle experience. The minimum age for this intermediate to advanced river experience is 18. “The Gorge” was originally the location where boaters took out their boats, letting the Arkansas River charge on without them. The Royal Gorge has become the cutting edge of whitewater thrills throughout America’s southwest. Your guides will provide transport to and from the river from the departure point.
