Half-Day Sandboarding with Sunset Picnic at Hidden Dunes in Atacama

From the city of Iquique, the tour will drive up to the coastal mountain range, using dirt roads, to find a hidden set of sand dunes with great views - the perfect place for 6-hours of sandboarding. No experience required, fun for the whole family. Includes instruction and a picnic at sunset.From a meeting point at Iquique, the drive will follow dirt roads to climb close to the top of the range, with southwest views above the ocean. Once you arrive, you will find a hidden sand dune field, mainly preserved for it's difficulty in accessing.

You'll receive a basic sandboarding instruction and enjoy hours on the clean sand dunes. When the sunset starts to set, you'll get some amazing views and enjoy a nice picnic to recover your strength after your efforts on the sand. During the evenings, the coastal fog, locally called Camanchaca, comes up to the sand dunes, cooling down the air a bit and creating an unusually beautiful spectacle of nature.

Once your thirst for adventure on the sand dunes is over, you'll start your driving back to the city.
