The Elephant Retirement Park offers a rare opportunity to spend your half-day feeding, bathing, and roll in the mud with these majestic mammals without riding. You will witness their natural habitat along with having an up close and personal experience.
This tour starts with a Chiang Mai city area hotel pickup in early morning between 7 am - 7.30 am and heads to the Elephant Retirement Park, located in the Mae Taeng Countryside. The drive will take approximately 1-hour to get to the park.

Upon arrival, you will be provided some clothes to change and our staff will give you an introduction about the elephants we have at the park helping you get a better understanding of the Asian Elephants.

After introduction you will meet the elephants and feed them fresh fruit or sugar cane at the same time learning (medical care and day to day living) more about the Asian Elephant we have at Elephant Retirement Park.

Next, be prepared to get wet and dirty in our muddy pool. Elephants love and need to be washed and cooled down. You will learn to wash and brush the elephants, have fun in our mud pool and this is a great way to get really close to our elephant. Enjoy your playing time here with our elephants.

Around 11:30 am, you will take a shower and get change. Some fresh fruits and coffee will be served before you head back to your hotel.

Please note that you are recommended to bring a small backpack, personal medicine, long or short pants, old clothes or swimwear (both if you are planning on getting muddy), walking shoes, sandals, insect repellent, hat, sunglasses and sunscreen.
