This 3.5-hour walking tour of Prague will be narrated by your professional local guide. You will be enthralled by the fascinating stories of the heroes and traitors of Czechoslovakia during World War II and view the places where brave Czechs suffered and died for the freedom of their country. Your guide will escort you on public transportation twice during your tour. 

You will meet your guide at 1:30pm in front of a local bridge in Prague and dive into captivating stories of World War II. Your guide will introduce you to the political background of 1930s and explain how Hitler convinced Czechoslovak allies to betray them in Munich.

Your guide will take you step-by-step through the most important events of World War II in Prague, such as the assassination of ‘The Butcher of Prague’, Reinhard Heydrich, by Czech Resistance. You will visit a place where Czechs were hidden and where they fought their last battle, which is currently used as a museum. Cruising through the city you will see the former Gestapo and SS headquarters as well as a square used by Germans to perform a monstrous parade of their troops, the biggest parade outside of Germany. In the Old Town Square you will hear breathtaking stories of Czechs who were defending Prague against German troops during the Prague uprising and see authentic photographs taken during and right after the uprising. Throughout the war, Prague was bombed a couple of times and your guide will reveal its impact on the daily life of local Czechoslovakians. Finally, your guide will explain the political background of the end of World War II, which determined the course of Czechoslovakia for the next 40 years.

Your tour will conclude at the riverside near Čechúv bridge.
