Escape the city for a day and venture out into Hanoi's peaceful back roads on this scenic, one-day cycling tour. We start our trip by riding on the banks of the Red River on a quiet dyke road, passing through various flower and vegetable gardens, and continue down country trails where we ride alongside lotus lakes until we arrive at West Lake.
Here, we visit one of the most revered Buddhist pagodas in Vietnam before boarding a ferry that will carry us across the Red River. Named for the reddish-brown heavily silt-laden water, and notorious for violent flooding, we explore a side of Hanoi that’s well off the beaten path as we ride past local villages and communities, and see where the real Hanoi lives.
We have lunch at a local riverside restaurant, and once sated, pay a visit to the Tran Quoc Pagoda before heading back to your hotel in Hanoi where we reach the end of our tour.
This 28mi (40km) ride on good quality, flat tarmac roads is suitable for anyone, and guests can enjoy plenty of complimentary water, soft drinks and snacks throughout the ride. This 8-hour tour is not an overnight trip.
