Enjoy a Full Day on a private small-group tour to experience some adventure hiking on La Garganta Verde, an amazing gorge inside the Grazalema Natural Park. The trail crosses a river, so is recommended some knowledge of swimming, water proof shoes and swimming suits are also recommended. After this 2 hours adventure, you will be able to visit the picturesque white village Zahara de la Sierra and appreciate the fantastic views from its Castle, up on the hill, looking to all the Natural Park of Sierra de Grazalema. Amazing experience! The Garganta Verde is a spectacular canyon that has been carved by the Arroyo del Pinar river. It is located about 5 km from the village of Zahara de la Sierra, in the Park of the Sierra de Grazalema. The Garganta Verde name comes from the dense vegetation that covers its high and vertical walls that in the wildest spots reaches a depth of 400 meters. The trail that runs along the Garganta Verde has a medium to high difficulty and a length of 2.5 km (2 hours). On this trail, you will be able to see scrub of broom, wild olive trees, fan palms and mastic trees, goldfinches, stonechats and warblers! and we can soon make out the rock faces of La Garganta.

Another interesting place is "El Arroyo de Bocaleones" observation balcony, from where we will be able to appreciate the full size of the gorge. The gorge is the home to one of the largest breeding colonies of griffon vultures in Europe.

Zahara de la Sierra is a popular "white village" of the province of Cádiz. It has one of the most stunning settings in the whole of Andalucia. Its first wonderful landscape is its castle, built on a rocky peak high above the turquoise waters of a lake. Scattered below are the whitewashed houses of Zahara de la Sierra. This picturesque village has almost all its houses painted in white, for it, Zahara is one of the most typical "white village". When you visit Zahara you will find out easily the reason of the color of its houses; curiously, the main reason for it is the andalusian weather, because of its hot summers!

The town, with land covering a total of over 70 km2, is built on the sides of the hill whose height ranges between 310m and 1000m. The name of the town, which has about 1600 inhabitants, known as 'Zahareños', probably comes from the Arab word sahra meaning desert.
