This tour is one of the best hiking tours in Maui. Take this challenge hiking at Haleakala National Park.There is no better way to experience Haleakalā National Park than on your own two feet. This hike will take you approximately 3 miles down into the crater down sliding sands trail. On your hike your will come close to native plants and animals which are only visible at the Haleakala National Park. The size of the group is limited to 10 for your safety and satisfaction levels.
Going down is easy, but coming back up the hill is moderately intense. You will be treated to a nice picnic style lunch after hike. You can hike in the native shrubland, looking for native forest birds and endemic plants, or in the aeolian cinder desert, exploring the geologic history of the volcano.
