Join this fun Nottingham pub tour featuring lots of stories of the medieval town and its characters. All kinds of things you never knew even if you live in Nottingham!The 3.5-hour tour meets at the gothic-themed Pit and Pendulum pub on Victoria Street at 7pm and offers a 20% off meal deal, tales of crime and punishment and stories from Edgar Allen Poe. Please make yourself known at the bar when you arrive and arrive by 6pm if you have booked a meal (meal has to be booked through the local provider in order to receive the discount).
The tour then moves on to The Bell in Beast Market for Goose Fair and some famous local people. In the 13th century Salutation Inn you receive a 20p discount on drinks and a visit to the caves below for ghost stories and stories about the civil war and highway robbery. Finally at approx. 10.30pm you will finish the evening at the Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem for Kings, castles, caves and killings.
You don't have to be a history enthusiast to enjoy this tour, just prepare for good fun and a great, unique way to explore the city. Please dress appropriately for the weather. Steep steps and uneven floors are involved so please wear sensible shoes. You will spend approximately 40 minutes in each venue.
