A private tour around the most magnificent castles and gorgeous palaces of Holland's heartland.

This tour includes the following sights:

Muiderslot
The Muiderslot is a castle built around 1285 located 15 kilometers southeast of Amsterdam. It is part of the Defence Line of Amsterdam and included on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Naarden-Vesting
Naarden is an example of a star fort, complete with fortified walls and a moat. The moat and walls have been completely restored, making it the most exciting and the best contained fortress in the history of the Netherlands!

Kasteel Groeneveld
Groeneveld Castle in Baarn is an 18th-century country estate and one of the finest examples. Since the 17th century, local rulers and rich merchants built these estates to enjoy the good life at some distance from the city.

Paleis Soestdijk
Soestdijk Palace is a former palace of the Dutch Royal Family. Soestdijk was used by Princess Juliana (Queen of the Netherlands from 1948–1980) and Prince Bernhard as their official residence until both of their deaths in 2004.

Slot Zuylen
Slot Zuylen Castle’s history of the castle starts in the 13th century. Whilst retaining many of its medieval castle-like features it was converted into a country mansion in the 18th century. Slot Zuylen opened its doors to visitors 60 years ago and has meanwhile acquired museum status.

Kasteel de Haar
De Haar Castle is the biggest and most luxurious castle of the Netherlands. With its towers, turrets, moats, gates and suspension bridges, it resembles a true medieval castle. The castle has a cosmopolitan grandeur unique to the Netherlands, it rises like a fairy-tale castle from a park with impressive trees, surrounded by old gardens and ponds.

Vechtstreek / Vecht river
Part of our tour will be in The Vechtstreek (Dutch for “Vecht area”), a region along the Vecht River between the towns of Utrecht and Amsterdam. Located in the economic heartland of the Netherlands, it is known for its natural beauty, castles, parks and stately homes. Such as Kasteel Nijenrode, Bolenstein, Goudenstein etc..
