Deception? Intrigue? Conspiracy? Capitol Hill is where it all takes place, and it’s also one of the city’s best places to learn travel and architectural photography! This Safari takes you to all the familiar locations from the opening credits of House of Cards.
You’ll learn the principal features of your camera, travel photography, basic architectural photography, outdoor portraiture and interior photography (without flash or tripod). You get hands-on instruction while you take your pictures!
Beginning with the magnificent interior and exterior architecture of Union Station, our next stop is the Thurgood Marshall Judiciary Building, resplendent in the afternoon sun. We then climb up Capitol Hill to photograph the Supreme Court and Library of Congress buildings and the East Front of the Capitol. You’ll also capture the “cardhouses” where all the intrigue and arm-twisting shenanigans take place: the Senate and House Office Buildings! The last stop is the beautiful U.S. Botanic Gardens.
