You will have the time of your life in a safe and comfortable atmosphere having gotten more than your money’s worth. It will be so much fun! You will be picked up at your hotel/accommodation in Kingston/St. Andrew between 9:30am and 9:45am, arriving at the venue at least 5 minutes before the session. You will be greeted in Jamaican (Waagwaan) and escorted to the presentation. Then you will be provided with the material necessary to support the activities.

Next you will learn the basics of the Jamaican language through a functional introduction; the class is interactive at all times. Then we delve into the culture and development of the language. After this is the most exciting part: the role play, activities and games. You will have a blast learning to speak, read, write and present in Jamaican. You are invited to record yourself when making your presentation for a souvenir. At this point, the language session ends. You will feel more acculturated to Jamaica and be proficient enough to have small conversations in Jamaican Patwa with each other and any Jamaican.

You will then be served a Jamaican style lunch (vegan and vegetarian options included). At this point you will be taken back to your hotel or accommodation.
