By the end of your lesson you’ll be able to play a song. Numbers are limited to 12 people, ensuring a personalized experience with a small group.
Meet your expert instructor at the taiko dojo (studio), located in central Kyoto. Start with some pre-session exercises to stretch your body in preparation for your 1-hour drum lesson; getting limber will help you avoid any strain during your introductory workshop — perfect for beginners.

Learn how to properly hold the rounded wooden sticks, called bachi, before you begin beating the taiko drums. Your instructor will first teach your small group to play basic rhythms, using drills in a fun atmosphere. After some practice, you’re soon ready to play a song together, energized by the rhythm of reverberating drums.

With a sense of accomplishment at the end of your lesson, you may be excited to learn more!
