This 4x4 safari through Fuerteventura’s southern villages, the coast, the famous Villa Winter and Cofete Beach will defenitely be a highlight of your vacations.Join an off-road jeep safari through Fuerteventura’s south and drive a cool soft-top Land Rover Defender jeep for up to 7 people (including the driver).
Before the safari begins you will be informed about the route in a small briefing. Then you will start the safari to Cofete crossing the Jandia Natural Reserve until reaching the viewpoint of the seemly endless Cofete beach. You can see endemic species that cannot be found anywhere else and therefore there will be a stop to take a couple of pictures. The route then takes you to the ancient Villa Winter that was built by a german engineer in the middle of the twentieth century. You will stop there and take a look at the villa learning something about its history and importance for the region.
From there you drive to the Beach of Cofete, where you can take a refreshing bath (of more or less 45 minutes) in the pristine waters of this coast. The next stage takes you to El Puertito, a small and typical village, where you can enjoy a delicious canary meal. Then you head to the lighthouse Faro de Punta Jandía, the most southern point on the island. There you can climb the hill Colina Del Amor, which offers a superb panoramic view of the island. After this magical experience you will head back to the hotel.
