This exhilarating tour offers the best white water rafting experience on the Kaituna River in New Zealand. We blend the adrenaline filled trip with Maori culture decorated within some of the most beautiful sub tropical rain forest you will ever see. The Kaituna River is very unique in the fact that it is a very safe river, boasting spectacular rapids and waterfalls. The trip takes an hour on the water and will be one of the highlights of your New Zealand adventure.Experience the best rafting section in New Zealand and one of the top 10 in the world. Flowing through a deep canyon the Kaituna is lined with beautiful New Zealand native bush that goes from the river to the sky. Starting off with some easy white water the river builds in difficulty until you stand above your first two waterfalls. These get the heart pumping and puts your mind at ease as to how the raft handles the drops.

Excited for more you will be offered a chance to jump into the river from a 3m cliff (depending on the flow). Drifting through the magical scenery you soon arrive above the world’s highest commercially rafted waterfall, known as Tutea falls. Tutea falls stands 5-7m tall and will have the biggest adrenaline junkies buzzing. With a couple of paddle strokes you soon find yourself tucked up, falling and diving into the pool at the bottom only to emerge upright or upside down. Luckily you pop up in one of the safest pools with no hazards.

Wanting more you will head down into a more continuous section with more rapids which we will surf, swim and make sure you experience the highlight of your New Zealand adventure.
