Kangaroo Island has plenty to offer everyone. Visit one of the island’s vineyards, three of the island’s popular gourmet food outlets and The Lavender Farm.The tour will commence with a drive along the scenic route, taking in spectacular views of the Penneshaw Coastline and traveling to Pennington Bay.
Arrive at Pennington Bay for a photo shoot. This is a stunning beach where dolphins and whales can often be spotted frolicking in the water.
Visit Emu Ridge Eucalyptus where you can learn how a traditional Australian Bush Product is made at South Australia's only commercial Eucalyptus Oil Distillery. Emu Ridge is an excellent retail outlet that offers an extensive range of local products as well as tastings for Kangaroo Island Ciders. Enjoy a guided tour and learn how the distillation process takes place.
Enjoy a wine tasting at Bay of Shoals Wines along with a Cheese Platter that showcases some of Kangaroo Island's own produce, before taking a scenic drive into Kingscote where you will stop at a cafe for lunch at your own expense (optional).
Visit Island Beehive where you will experience a Guided Tour of the extraction plant, taste the various flavors of honey and have a look around in the gift shop.
Visit Island Pure Sheep Dairy where you can watch the milking of sheep and see how cheese and yoghurt are made as well as sample some of the products.
Make your way to The Lavender Farm and enjoy the surroundings and have some time for lavender scones and tea or coffee before making your way back to your cruise ship.
