Snorkel in Wave Break Island’s reef, home to hundreds of tropical fish or try your hand at kayaking, fishing, playing beach racquets or simply float on the water mat before enjoying a delicious hot lunch. After meeting your guide, travel to Biggera Waters for your kayak adventure. If you’re staying locally, feel free to meet your guide there. As you start your 45-minute paddle towards South Stradbroke Island, make sure to keep an eye out for dolphins, stingrays and turtles frequenting the water.

Arrive on South Stradbroke Island, the smaller of the two islands only 13-mile (21km) by 1.6-mile (2.5km) in size. Here you’ll embark on a 45-minute bush-walk to the surfing side of the island. Home to the iconic Australian wallaby and stunning bird-life, you'll have the perfect opportunities along the way.

Once you reach the surfing side of the island, paddle 15-minutes to the picturesque Wave Break Island which proves to be the perfect vantage point for the Gold Coast city. Here you’ll have 30-minutes to snorkel the islands reef and discover the hundreds of tropical fish and exotic marine fauna residing by the island. If you’re feeling a little worn out, head to the Chill-Out zone on the other side of the island.

As the name describes, the Chill-Out Zone is the perfect opportunity to relax, complete with shade, music and comfortable lounge chairs. If you’re looking for a little more adventure, you have 2-hours spare time to explore the reef on the clear bottom kayak, go fishing or join a game of beach soccer, beach rackets or rugby.

After you’ve built up an appetite, enjoy a delicious lunch from the popular Charis Seafood restaurant as you sit back and enjoy the stunning view out to sea before heading back to Biggera Waters.
