Ohara museum, Japan's first museum for western art is another site you cannot miss.When you come to Kurashiki and arrive at the older part of town and hop onto a rickshaw any time between 9.30am and 5.30pm, you will be transported back in time. Away from navigating around cars, strolling on the wide walkway along the historical canal, lined with weeping willows, you might just find yourself imagining how the city must have been a couple of hundred of years ago. The small side streets are still filled with shops and old warehouses. With the help from our knowledgeable guide, learn what an important role Kurashiki played in the past and why it is dotted with buildings belonging distinctly to the Meiji period.

30 Minute Option
Starting with the Kurashiki Monogatarikan, a large, traditional building with a wide entrance at the entrance of the old town of Kurashiki, the tour will then continue through the streets of the old town where you can enjoy the view of the old warehouses designed in a typical Kurashiki style. The streets in the town are lined with small shops and coffee shops. Your tour will continue through the much anticipated part of town, the picturesque canal lined with weeping willows.

45 Minute Option

You will also pass by former mansions of affluent merchants. The streets in the town are lined with small shops. Your tour will continue through the much anticipated part of town, the picturesque canal lined with weeping willows.

1 Hour Option
Starting with the Kurashiki Monogatarikan, a large, traditional building, close to the European art museum at the entrance of the old town of Kurashiki, the tour will then continue through the streets of the old town where you can enjoy the view of the old warehouses designed in a typical Kurashiki style. The streets in the town are lined with small shops and coffee shops. Your tour will continue through the much anticipated part of town, the canal lined with weeping willows.

2 Hour Option
Starting with the large mansion of affluent merchants at the entrance of the old town of Kurashiki, the tour will then continue through the streets of the old town where you can enjoy the view of the old warehouses designed in Kurashiki style. The streets in the town are lined with small shops. Your tour will continue to the Tsurugata Mountain and then through the much anticipated part of town, across the former cotton mill the picturesque canal lined with weeping willows.
