From 1960-2014 and all the eruptions in between this is the only way to witness Frozen Fire.Take a stroll through banyan drive on our way to Liliuokalani gardens for a brief stop to take in beautiful sites and wonderful photo opportunities. A drive through downtown Hilo to learn the history from the once booking sugar industry to our destructive tsunamis that changed Hilo town forever.

Rainbow Falls is next on the agenda with amazing views from a few different angles.

Mauna Loa Macadamia nut orchard and visitor center is the next stop where you get to indulge yourself in 12 different flavors of macadamia nuts from Maui onion and garlic to everyone's favorite chocolate covered! Lunch can be purchased here and don't forget the macadamia nut ice cream with 5 flavors to choose from including coconut and mango.

2014 Pahoa lava flow where lava entered the town limits in October 2014 to March 2015. Incredible sites including the farm house which was destroyed in November 2014.

1990 Kalapana village over 90% of the village has been covered with flows from the Pu'u O'o vent starting in March 1990 covering the once "Black sand beach of Hawaii" Kaimu. A 1/4 mile hike out to the new Kaimu black sand beach awaits you here. This land has been reclaimed for the Hawaiian Kingdom by Uncle Robert Keliihoomalu whose family home and property was spared by this eruption. Enjoy fresh fruit smoothies, local BBQ, and local refreshments at Uncles Robert's Bar.

Ahalanui Hot ponds (Heated by the Kapoho eruptions between 1955-1960) Take a dip in the geothermal heated pools of Kapoho bring along your swimwear and a towel. (No public restrooms only portable toilets) We will stop at Pohoiki state park to get into your swimwear.

Lava tree park to see how tree-molds were formed after lava flowed through an over 100 year old Ohia forest.
