Begin your scuba diving experience with a pickup from your Lanzarote hotel, and then travel by air-conditioned vehicle to the dive center situated on a small, shallow-water bay near Puerto del Carmen.
On arrival, head inside and meet your expert, PADI-qualified dive instructor. Then, enjoy a fun and easy introduction to scuba diving that covers theory, safety and the practical techniques involved.
During the session, you’ll get acquainted with your scuba gear and learn how to put on your mask and breathe properly. Your instructor will address everything you need to know for an introductory dive, so you won’t need any prior experience and don’t even need to be a strong swimmer to take part.
Once you’re ready, pull on a supplied wetsuit and wade in to the shallow waters of the bay with the rest of your small group and your instructor close at hand.
Practice above the surface and then enjoy a shallow descent in the water. Marvel at the incredible sensation of breathing under the surface and, with your instructor nearby, glide by the rocks and sandy seabeds. Watch for starfish, crabs and tropical fish such as pretty damsel fish, wrasse and parrotfish, and if you’re lucky, perhaps even spot a ray or seahorse.
After a roughly 30-minute dive, return to the shore and change out of your wetsuit. Your experience then finishes with a drop-off back at your hotel.
