Celebrate the turn of the year in true, snowy Lapland style at this fun-filled, family-friendly New Year’s Eve party near Rovaniemi. Late in the evening, travel to a mystery location on the Arctic Circle border and experience a fairylit world of snow bars, a snow disco, fortune-tellers and more. Sip on a complimentary drink, have your fortune told using Finnish tin casting, and see Santa Claus himself. Then, greet midnight with a dazzling fireworks and dance show. A New Year’s Eve to remember and perfect for the whole family.
Dress warmly and just before 10pm, make your own way to the starting point in central Rovaniemi. Alternatively, enjoy a pickup from select central hotels.

Then, travel by coach or minivan to the party venue — a mystery location on the border of the Arctic Circle in the snowy countryside.

On arrival, spend the next two or so hours enjoying the fairylit attractions. The outdoor venue features a snow disco, snow bars, food stands, fortune-tellers and more, all to ensure you bring in the New Year in style.

Get into the spirit with a complimentary welcome drink. Feast on hot snacks (own expense) from the stalls and perhaps team them with soft or alcoholic beverages from the snow bars (own expense).

While you’re here, try some tin casting. This Finnish New Year tradition involves melting tin and inspecting the re-solidified metal for omens. Take your tin to a fortune-teller and watch spellbound as they interpret its shape and shadow to predict what the new year might hold.

As midnight approaches, enjoy a boogie at the snow disco and savor the excitement as Santa Claus comes to visit. The great man will make an appearance, arriving on a reindeer sleigh piled with presents.

After this magical moment, join the countdown to midnight and make a toast as the clock strikes 12. Then, watch a dazzling fireworks display and spectacular dance show.

Later, return to Rovaniemi, where your trip ends with a drop-off at the starting point in town or at the selected hotels.

Please note: Due to unpredictable weather conditions, daylight hours and other seasonable changes, the order of activities as described above may be subject to change on the day of your tour.
