Enjoy a half a day lava caving tour to Leidarendi lava tube, a 2000 year old lava tube located in the Blue Mountains in Iceland. This is a 3-4 hour tour where you get to experience the underworld of Iceland hidden underneath a lava field. The cave is 900 meters long, narrow at some points so be ready to crawl a bit inside the cave. A true icelandic adventure in a beautiful lava field, expect to see different volcanic rock formations and colours. We provide you with a torch light and a safety helmet and guide you through the cave with some interesting information about the lava tube.

We provide you with a torch light and a safety helmet and guide you through the cave with some interesting information about the lava tube.A pick up from your hotel is provided, we start pick up 15 minutes prior to departure and will drop you off the same location or any other prefered location in the Reykjavik area. Enjoy great views on the way in our Land Rover super jeep truck.
After pick up the drive takes around 25-30 minutes to the caving area. There we provide with instructions about use of the helmets and lights and walk to the cave located only 3 minutes away from the parking. Once there we spend around 1-1.5 hours inside the cave looking at lava formations and various different colours of the lava. Then we drive back to Reykjavik after this fun adventure.
We recommend warm clothes, good shoes and gloves.
