See the best of Lisbon on a 6-hour small group tour by minivan and enjoy panoramic views from some of its 7 hills. Explore historic neighborhoods, such as Baixa and Alfama, learn about the Age of Discoveries in Belém and the Carnation Revolution. Cross the 25th of April bridge, enjoy lunching in a typical local restaurant and much more. You will go back to XVI century Belem to discover all of the adventures of the brave Portuguese navigators.

You will have the opportunity to appreciate different monuments, but you cannot miss out on the magnificent monastery classified by UNESCO that was built to celebrate the discovery of a sea route to India in 1498 by Vasco da Gama (Monastery of Jeronimos); and of course, the most well kept secret of the Portuguese pastry, the Pasteis de Belem. There is a local ritual to eating these delicacies that your guide will share with you.

After all of these adventures, and after delighting your taste buds with the most magnificent Portuguese pastry, come back to the present and cross the bridge that was named after the revolution day (25th of April Bridge) that finished the Salazar dictatorship in 1974. This bridge is often compared to the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, California.

You will then go to the south side of the river for one special reason, to enjoy the best view of Lisbon at the Christ the King Statue, which was erected in 1959 to thank God for sparing Portugal from the horrors of World War II (there is an optional entrance for an additional fee). You will be amazed with this astonishing view.

Then, after witnessing this breathtaking view, it is time to visit Cacilhas, a quiet seaside town close to the river Tejo. Cacilhas is known for the cervejarias (beer halls) serving fresh seafood, refreshing brews and fine views of the sun setting over the river. We promise to take you far away from the tourist traps. Here you can enjoy a lunch in a very typical local restaurant (lunch price not included). You will feel like taking a nap after this, which is not a bad idea, but we will be heading to the old town.

Arriving in the old town, you will learn about the City of Seven Hills, enjoy the amazing views and vibes that Lisbon has to offer, and stop at the best viewpoints of the city, called miradouros, or golden views. You will also tour the most typical neighborhoods in Lisbon, like Baixa, Chiado, Alfama, Graça, Mouraria, and Principe Real.

To end your journey (this could also change, since Lisbon is full of so many good surprises) stop in one of the most important squares of Lisbon, Largo do Carmo. The Carnation Revolution occurred here in 1974.
