Enjoy a tour to Machu Picchu by car which is a great alternative to the limitations of transport to get to the ruins of Machu Picchu. You'll drive from Ollantaytambo to Santa Teresa by car and stay one night there. The next day you will walk 3 hours to the Machu Picchu Ruins. This tour will take 2 nights and it is done on a private basis, guaranteeing personal assistance.Day 1: Ollantaytambo to Santa Teresa
You will be picked up from your hotel at 6am and start your drive by car to Santa Maria/Santa Teresa passing by Abra Malaga.Upon arrival, you'll be transferred to the hostel and then you will walk to the Hot Springs of Colcamayo .These were built on the slope of the mountain and on the edges of the Urubamba River. The thermal water complex has three pools of different sizes and depths, its medicinal water supply varies between 40 º C and 44 º C. It differs mainly from the other hot springs of Peru for its clear waters. These waters have medicinal properties to treat skin ulcers, bone pain and rheumatism. You'll head back to town and rest for the day.

Day 2: Santa Teresa / Hidroelectrica / Aguas Calientes (B)
Early morning you will go by taxi from Santa Teresa to Hidroelectrica from which you'll walk for 3 hours to Machu Picchu Town (Aguas Calientes) walking by the railroad. Upon arrival in Machu Pichhu town, you can visit Mandor Waterfall on the way and have an unforgettable adventure. It is an area of lush forest surrounding the town of Machu Picchu. You just have to follow the railway line from Machu Picchu Pueblo for a 45 minute-hike. You will reach a railway crossing, from which you will see a small group of houses whose dwellers will tell you how to reach Mandor Waterfall. After the walk, you will head to your hotel.

Day 3: Machu Picchu / Cusco

The day starts with an early morning rise to head to the bus station for a 20 minute journey to the famous Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu, also known as "The Lost City of the Incas." There you'll have a tour of the site and learn about its history. See the Temple of the Moon, one of the three major temples in the Machu Picchu area, which is nestled on the side of the mountain and is situated at an elevation lower than Machu Picchu. Adjacent to the Temple of the Moon is the Great Cavern, another sacred temple with fine masonry. The other major local temples in Machu Picchu are the Temple of the Condor, Temple of Three Windows, Principal Temple, "Unfinished Temple ", and the Temple of the Sun, also called the Torreon. You'll also see the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, The Sacred Sun Dial the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows and various burial grounds. After the tour, you'll head back to Cusco or Ollantaytambo.
