Then, with a local guide leading the way, enjoy a scenic tour of Marmaris’ waterfront before delving into the port town’s vibrant bazaar. Savor fragrant morsels of Turkish delight at a local factory, visit a leather store — a trade for which Turkey is famed — and discover how carpets are woven. Finish your trip with plenty of free time for shopping and lunch.Start your day with a pickup from your Rhodes hotel, and then travel by air-conditioned coach to Mandraki Harbour. Here, greet your tour host, pay port tax (own expense), and then hop aboard your ferry boat to begin your day trip to Marmaris.

Settle into a comfortable spot on deck, and then take in views of the harbor as you slip away from land and head out onto the open waters of the Aegean Sea.

On arrival in Marmaris, make your way through customs quickly and easily with your tour host, and then be introduced to your friendly, local guide. Enjoy a scenic tour of the harbor and nearby Marmaris Bazaar from the comfort of an air-conditioned coach, then head to a Turkish delight factory with your guide to see how this delectable sweet treat, also known as lokum, is made.

Refuel with a few fragrant bites and a refreshing drink before visiting a popular leather shop — Turkey is famed for its excellent leather products including bags, belts, shoes and jackets. After perusing rail after rail of high-quality leather goods, follow your guide to the promenade outside the bazaar.

Make your final guided stop at a carpet store for a brief demonstration of how they are woven, and then enjoy the rest of the trip at your leisure. Make your own way through Marmaris Bazaar, feasting your eyes on the kaleidoscopic array of goods on offer and perhaps picking up souvenirs for yourself, your friends or your family. With the carpet store acting as your base, lighten your load by leaving any bulky shopping bags there.

After shopping, maybe stop for an authentic Turkish lunch (own expense) before meeting back up with your tour host at the prearranged time and returning to Rhodes.

Your tour then concludes back at your Rhodes hotel in the evening.
