Helicopter flight tour (1.5 hours)
After hotel pickup in Medellín, head to the nearby local airport, where a helicopter is ready and waiting for you to board (max of 6 passengers per helicopter). Receive a safety briefing and before you know it, the blades blur into action and you’re in the air.
During the 20-minute flight, your pilot takes you all over the city situated in deep Aburrá Valley, a natural basin of the Medellín River in the northern Andes mountains.
Swoop over the city park of Cerro Nutibara, 82 acres (33 hectares) of hilly woods, at the top of which stands Pueblito Paisa, a replica of a traditional Spanish colonial town. Capture views of Cerro Las Palmas, Cerro de las Cruces and downtown Medellín.
After the helicopter ride, you’ll be taken back to your hotel. If you opt for the city tour (see below), your guide and transport will be waiting at the airport to take you to your next destination.

You may want to enter lovely Cerro Nutibara park and travel up its curving road for a closer look at Pueblito Paisa and its central square and fountain, followed by a stop at a lookout for time to snap pics of the 360-degree city view.
