Join this tour for a unique wildlife experience! Spend time among the Silvered Leaf Monkeys and enjoy up close and personal encounters with them, view the stunning Fireflies as they shimmer and shine in the night, putting on a show just for you, and enjoy a delicious and fresh dinner at a riverside cafe. All the while taking in the beautiful Malaysian scenery surrounding you.Your tour will begin with a pickup from your hotel before departing Kuala Lumpur at 4pm for the fishing village in Kuala Selangor. Upon arrival at the Bukit Melawati Hills in Kuala Selangor at approximately 5:30pm, you will visit the lighthouse perched 27m (88.6 feet) above sea level. You will also have the opportunity to come face to face with the adorable Silvered Leaf Monkeys.
The Silvered Leaf monkeys are adorable and friendly animals that live on the Bukit Melawati Hills. These monkeys live on shoots, young leaves and wild fruits. They tend to live in clusters of 6 to 10 and their infants are orange in color, often turn silver after 3 months.
You will be provided with snacks such as green leaves and fruits to feed to the Monkeys. Prepare for a close encounter with nature at its best as the Monkeys may climb all over you to reach the food!
After this special experience, you will be taken to a riverside cafe for a delicious dinner, all fresh from the fishing village.
After dinner, you’ll catch a boat to watch the fireflies. You must remain quiet, so as not to scare them away. The sparkling lights of the fireflies resemble a Christmas tree. It’s a beautiful, natural phenomenon and also quite rare in this part of the world.
The Fireflies congregate on mangrove trees to feed on nectar. They flash synchronously and the light is produced by a complex biochemical reaction in their light organs situated on the underside of their bottoms.
At approximately 8:30pm you will depart for your hotel in Kuala Lumpur. At 10pm you’ll arrive safe and sound with many new memories to cherish.
