Ready for adventure in Montenegro for the whole family. If you enjoy off the beaten path trails and things to see in mountains, you found a perfect holiday for you and your family. Deep into the mountains, children will adore the adrenaline rush during rafting on river rapids, great sights on jeep safari tour, family bounding on a farm, and cooking lessons full of joyful experience. Day 1
Arrival in Pluzine, small town on Piva Lake shore. Dinner.
Day 2
The most northern point of Montenegro is a starting point of our rafting adventure. Before stepping into the adventure try a filling and hearty Montenegrin breakfast. Adrenaline rushes are guaranteed on this 18 km rafting tour, with our experienced guides and professional rafting team. Lunch and dinner.
Day 3
Explore Durmitor NP. On a jeep safari tour, visit sights of the highest peak of the mountain, as well as numerous glacial lakes in this area (better known as “Eyes of the Mountain”). On tour known under the name “Durmitor Ring” we’ll make a great circle with best possible insight to the highlights of Durmitor Mt. Breakfast and lunch in the nature will complete the experience. Accommodation on a farm. Dinner.
Day 4
After breakfast in the morning the choice is yours – whether to go in the field and assist the hosts in daily activities, maybe to help the shepherd to get the cattle to the mountain pastures, or simply to participate in the cheese making process and preparing lunch with our hosts. Dinner.
Day 5
Day reserved for a jeep safari. Road takes us up to 2000 meters, towards some of the tallest peaks of the Bjelasica Mt, bearing in sight 5 glacial lakes with a bit of light hiking on the way - a chance to see one of the three oldest forests in Europe and the lake it hides among its trees – Biogradsko Lake. Lunch. Accommodation in 97-year old cottage and enjoy a tasty home cooked dinner.
Day 6
Take a fly fishing expedition to catch and release a variety of seasonally dependent fish including trout and other indigenous species. All training, equipment, licenses and expert local knowledge are provided. To round off a day we finish with an organic apiary to explore bee keeping, to learn some local secrets and sample honey products.
Day 7
New destination mountainous village of Gracanica where you will stay with our host family. Here they will show you the local area and traditional customs while you take in the scenery and experience the mountain lifestyle. Once unpacked you can do some hiking or horse riding. After your exploration settle into your accommodation for the night with a local meal.
Day 8
Staying with your host family in Gracanica, today is all about taking it easy and gastronomy. Relax, take it all in, take home some unique ideas and recipes. Learn to prepare then taste a plethora of local drinks and delicacies ranging from Rakija, walnut honey, traditional meals and even a delicately cooked snake in local sauce, all of which would make even a world class chef envious. If you need a break from all the food and relaxing there is still plenty of mountainous areas to explore, all within easy reach.
Day 9
Today heading back to the airport. Enjoy the scenery on the way. Use this time to contemplate and absorb the hospitable people and experiences from your visit to a truly natural and beautiful Montenegro.
