Have you ever wondered what it was like to be living in Russia 500 years ago? You can experience the life of ancient Russian during the Kievan Rus by participating in two master classes of ancient Russian traditions – cooking your own bread and taking part in a pottery call by making various decorations out of clay. You will also be able to go to the flea market and get original souvenirs in one place. The Kremlin is located outside the Garden Ring and during the reign of one of the most notable Russian zars - Aleksey Mikhailovich it was a place of the Romanov residence.  It is exactly here that young Peter the Great first became interested in sailing and shipbuilding and eventually through mastering it drastically transformed Russia.  Currently the Izmailova Kremlin is a magnificent fortress that is known for not only its Russian feel but is also a very popular place of marriage for many Russian couples.

Your guide will pick you up from your hotel and accompany you to the Izmailovo Kremlin. First, you will get an overall tour of the Kremlin.  As you walk alongside the fortress walls, you will learn about the history of the Kremlin and how for many centuries it has been an integral part of Russian history.

After the general tour you will stop by your first master class- pottery making.  Alongside a very charismatic teacher, you will learn the ancient techniques of pottery making while making clay toys or pots that you will be able to take home with you afterwards. This class is perfect for families but is also ideal for anyone who wants to have a real Russian experience  and immerse themselves into the ancient Russian culture.

After the master class, you will have the opportunity to walk around the flea market and choose the perfect souvenirs for your loved ones.  This way you will not have to buy overpriced souvenirs in Red Square while having much less variety. Also, at  Izmailovo our guide will help you bargain for the best price.

The tour will continue to the Russian museum of bread where you will learn about the history of bread making and this participate in a baking class making a Kolach and other Russian traditional pastries.

This tour is extremely family friendly and if you really want to enjoy Russia with your entire family we highly recommend that you join us.
