The Learn To Surf and Spanish Cooking holidays are a perfect fusion of two wonderful activities that can be enjoyed in a very beautiful location. Conil de la Frontera boasts some of Europe's most beautiful beaches for your surfing lessons and general enjoyment. The climate in Conil and the surrounding area helps to produce some of the finest seasonal ingredients that have been used in the Andalusian Kitchens over generations to create a strong and vibrant gastronomical heritage. Day 1
On arrival in Conil de la Frontera you will be met by a member of our team at the Conil de la Frontera bus station. Check in time is in between the hours of 15:00 and 23:00.

Day 2
After breakfast we meet at the designated surf beach in Conil. The meeting time is 9.30am. Your Surfing lesson takes place between the hours of 10am and 12pm. After your surfing lesson it is your lunch break. Your first cooking lesson starts at 5pm on Monday. The cooking school is located 1 min walk away from your accommodation. During your first cooking lesson you will learn a classic Spanish recipe that boasts four different dishes.

The first being a Gazpacho, the second is a Spanish Omelette, the third is a Paella, the fourth is a Sangria. After your cooking class you will enjoy your delicious creations in a relaxed and informal setting. It is not uncommon for our guests to bring along a bottle of wine whilst enjoying their delicious meals.

Day 3

After breakfast we meet at the Surf School location at 9:30am. The Surfing lessons are from 10am until 12pm. After surfing you can enjoy a relaxing lunch break. Your second cooking lesson starts at 5pm. Your second cooking lesson includes a Spanish national recipe with a 3 dish variety.

The first plate is called “Migas” (which in Spanish translates to breadcrumbs). Migas varies from region to region and is a recipe that does not have an exact formular, it therefore depends on the region, the ingredients available and the interpretation of the cook. The second plate is “Calamares en su Tinta”. This in Spanish means Calmar squid that is cooked in its own ink. The third plate is “Merluza en Salsa Verde”. This is a fish dish that Nieves will show you how to create with a delicious sauce. Of course after your cooking class you will get you enjoy your delicious creations in a relaxed setting.

Day 4
After breakfast we meet at the Surf School location at 9:30am. The Surfing lessons are from 10am until 12pm. After surfing you can enjoy a relaxing lunch break. Your second cooking lesson starts at 5pm.

Your Wednesday Afternoon Cooking Lesson includes 3 different recipes / dishes. The first is “Caballa en Eschebeche” which in Spanish means a lightly browned Mackerel marinated in olive oil, vinegar, wine and Spanish herbs and seasonings.The second dish is “Pescado Frito en Adobo”. This in Spanish means a fried fish in a special “adobo marinade” which is very typical and almost exclusive to the province of Cadiz. The third dish is “Fabada Asturiana”. This is a fabulous heavy stew from Asturias in Northern Spain which is based on a white bean stew.

Day 5
On Thursday you will learn to prepare three classic “Tapas” recipes. As famous and popular as Tapas have become they remain true to their origin of being small Spanish savoury dishes, typically served with drinks at a tapas bar.

Day 6
On Friday Nieves (your cooking teacher) will take you on a guided tapas route in Conil de la Frontera.
