Book this full-day tour to explore the National Chambal Sanctuary! This wild life sanctuary is famous for alligators, crocodiles , fresh water dolphins and variety of Indian/migratory birds. You will be picked up at your hotel in Agra at 7:00 am and start this exciting safari tour!
Transferred by a private luxury car (approx. 1.5 hrs) and en route stop by the Bateshwar, a town famous for a series of Lord Shiva temples and an annual cattle fair. On the bank of River Yamuna, see a string of temples mostly dedicated to lord Shiva, some of these temples date back to 12th century and with passage of time some doesn't exist anymore or in a dilapidated condition. The main temple has thousands of bells made of brass which create a wonderful chime when struck together.
Afterwards drive for 20 minutes up to a Eco-friendly lodge where a delicious lunch is waiting for you. After lunch proceed to the Chambal River covering a distance of 20 km. Duration of the safari will be around 2 hours and you will also be taken on a river safari by a motorized boat that is fully equipped with all vital equipment and a naturalist. You might be able to spot Gharials basking in the sun. The naturalist will also brief you about the flora and fauna of this river. This safari is also home to migratory birds and you will get to see some exotic species of birds as well.When the tour ends, you will be dropped off at your hotel.
