Natural Park Chicaque is a member of the unity of national reserves, offering you a magnificent cloud forest located just 50 minutes from Bogotá, Colombia.The beak of the Eagle (Pico del Águila) is a natural lookout located at 2,290 meters above sea level, on the edge of the oriental range.
It’s a formation created by means of a series of scree of the “Peña”, which today gives us an incredible panoramic view of the region of the Tequendama, the vale of Peñas Blancas, Santandercito, Mesitas, Anapoima, La Mesa, Tena and in clear days allows us to see the snow-capped mountains of Tolima, Santa Isabel and Ruiz, in the Central Mountain range.
In this area there are high concentrations of carbon, for this reason, the rocks are black. This area is also characterized by the presence of air currents formed by strong temperature changes, it is not uncommon to see vultures and eagles flying over this area.
