New Delhi’s wide flat streets and magnificent monuments make it the ideal area for a bicycle ride. On this small group tour, cycle down the long promenade leading up to India Gate, explore the Lodhi Gardens, enjoy a North Indian breakfast and much more!
You will meet your guide(s) at Connaught Place outside Gate 3 of the Rajiv Chowk Metro Station. Bicycles will be picked up nearby and the tour will begin there. The tour starts with a visit to a Hindu temple on the way to the first major stop of the tour: India Gate, a 42 meter arch built to honor the Indian and British Soldiers killed during World War I and Afghan Wars.
From there, the itinerary will be a mixture of famous sites like Lodhi Gardens, Gandhi Smriti and the President’s palace as well as a few hidden gems such as Khan Market, one of Delhi’s famous markets, and Agrasen Ki Baoli, an ancient step well. There will also be occasional stops to refuel with drinks and snacks as well as stops for photos.
At the end you will be rewarded for your effort with a delicious North Indian breakfast of puri sabji, samosa and tea or coffee at Connaught Place, where the tour started.
