Enjoy an nostalgic excursion on the Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad train as it travels from Meredith New Hampshire to Weirs Beach. Enjoy a full hot Turkey Dinner served on the train. Rolling steam carts come through the train and serve hand-carved turkey, stuffing, gravy and all of the trimmings. You'll depart Nashua, New Hampshire at 9am for Meridith New Hampshire.

The Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad Train travels from Meredith, New Hampshire along Meredith Bay clinging to a shelf dug out over 100 years ago for the fast Montreal trains that passed through here. It is a downhill ride most of the way from Meredith to Weirs Beach. Shortly after the train starts, you'll pass through an area with an unobstructed view of the lake with Mount Belknap in the background. After that, the train becomes level with the lake and you'll soon arrive at Weirs Beach, home of the MV MT Washington, a historic ship that makes several ports of call around the lake during her scenic cruises. Your train ride will continue to Lakeport all the way along the shore of "Paugus Bay" past seasonal residences on the right of the train with the cool blue water of Paugus Bay on the left. Pass through several marinas as well as the one mile shoreline of "Southdown Shores", a gated condominium complex. As you pass through their marina and beach area, wave to residents and friends and arrive at the turning point of the ride at Lakeport New Hampshire. There is no station here so passengers relax on board while our engine crew disconnects the locomotive from the trains so it can run around the train. Lakeport is the only water outlet from the lake. From here all the water flows over a small dam in Laconia/Lakeport to Lake Winnisquam then to Silver Lake in Belmont NH, through Tilton, Franklin where it joins the Pemigewassett to become the Merrimac.

Enjoy a full hot Turkey Dinner served on board the train. This is a Famous Hart's Catered Home Made Style Dinner as Grandma served at Thanksgiving. Meal Includes hand-carved turkey, potatoes, gravy, stuffing, cranberry sauce, bread roll, vegetable, beverage and dessert too!

Your tour will end when you are returned to your departure point.
